IHA Honors Senator Lugar

The Indiana Hospital Association honored Senator Lugar with the John

C. Render Award for Health Policy. John C. Render and Senator Lugar held a lengthy conversation about Lugar's past efforts in the Senate and the current political climate.

Render spoke in-depth about the Senator's involvement in hospital reimbursement and physician recruitment and retention through the Lugar Center for Rural Health. The Lugar Center for Rural Health staff attended the event and spoke with Senator Lugar after. Union Health's CEO, Steve Holman was also in attendance.
