Traci brings a wealth of healthcare project management experience from across the United States, most recently from Minnesota's Mayo Clinic. This experience includes LEAN focused endeavors, process improvement, service line enhancements, new facility strategies, ACO development, growth initiatives, recruitment, length of stay, cost and quality projects.
West Central Indiana Healthy Start
Christina brings valuable experience as a Perinatal Navigator in helping at risk women have successful pregnancies to the Lugar Center team. Her passion revolves around helping families succeed. Christina also serves as Co-Chair for the region’s Child Fatality Review Team. Prior to Union, Christina worked at the Vigo County Health Department as its Health Educator.
Dan began working at the Lugar Center in May of 2017 after completing his MPA from Indiana State. A former IRHA fellow, Dan believes solutions to rural problems are best solved through collaborative and innovative strategies that incorporate local institutions. He draws his passion for rural communities from his upbringing in Parke, Co. Indiana.
From growing up in Africa to his experiences across the Midwest, Hicham is dedicated to leading initiatives aimed at addressing barriers that inordinately affect rural communities, with a particular emphasis on sustainable and replicable solutions that improve outcomes.
Having lived in rural Indiana most of his life, Matthew Herrick joins the Lugar Center for Rural Health team with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health and a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration. He has a passion for serving foster families through an initiative at his church as well as improving the overall health of the Wabash Valley community. Prior to Union, Matthew worked at the Sullivan County Health Department as the Health Administrator and Environmental Health Specialist.
A "Country Doctor" for 28 years, Jim Turner, D.O., serves his hometown of Marshall, IL and is Board Certified in Family and Addiction Medicine. A graduate from the UHFMR he holds faculty appointments at the Univ. of Illinois College of Medicine, Indiana Univ. School of Medicine, and Marian University. Since 2013 he has served on the Vigo County Board of Health.
