HRSA Grantee Meeting in D.C.

Collaboration among individuals can prove instrumental when attempting to solve issues in communities across the nation. The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) brought grantees together in Washington D.C. from August 14th & 15th to discuss the different angles on treating substance abuse disorder and addiction. The Lugar Center presented on its efforts within the Substance Abuse Treatment-Telehealth Network Grant Program (SAT-TNGP) as one of three national grantees.

The Lugar Center's work centers around the Wabash Valley Rural Telehealth Network (WVRTN) and bringing Telebehavioral Services to Emergency Departments in Rural Critical Access Hospitals (CAHs). To date, the SAT-TNGP has served over 200 rural residents.

Presentations and break-out sessions were attended by grantees and included other HRSA officials from the Office for the Advancement of Telehealth (OAT) and Federal Office of Rural Health Policy (FORHP).
