All Babies Initiatives - Program Manager

Please join us in congratulating Matthew Herrick, MHA, who was selected to serve as the new Healthy Start Manager. In his new role he will oversee the outstanding team of perinatal navigators and community health workers dedicated to serving pregnant and parenting families throughout the Wabash Valley.

The All Babies Initiative is focused on bringing the community together to overcome infant mortality in our region. One of its core components is the free home visiting programs under its umbrella which are designed to provide education and care coordination to pregnant women and families of children under the age of 18 months. It strives to lower risk factors associated with preterm births, low birth weight, infant mortality and poor developmental outcomes.

Matt, who has lived in rural Indiana most of his life, joined the Richard G. Lugar Center for Rural Health at Union Health in Terre Haute, in 2019, after serving as Health Administrator and Environmental Health Specialist at the Sullivan County Health Department.

He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Healthcare Administration from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN.
